The Pasithea Chapter is honored to host this year’s DOP District 6 Fall Conference and Founder’s Day celebration on November 13, 2016. Below is relevant information:
Liturgy and artoclasia: Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul 110 Cathedral Avenue, Hempstead, New York at 10:45 am.
Luncheon : Nassau County Bar Association 15 West St, Mineola, NY 11501 Phone: (516) 747-4070. The luncheon will follow liturgy at approximately 12:30. The luncheon is $45.00 a person, cash or check payable to the Pasithea Chapter, and includes beverages, wine, salad, main course and dessert. We will be doing a raffle and for this, the District requests that each Chapter bring two gift cards of $25 each. Directions to the Bar Association, which is 5 minutes from the Cathedral, will be provided at the Cathedral and upon request.
There is ample parking at the Cathedral and the Bar Association.

Our District Convention will be hosted by Demetra Chapter and will be held at Kimissis Greek Orthodox Church in Brooklyn, New York on June 10 and 11, 2016. The convention hotel is Comfort Inn Red Hook, 17 Seabring St., Brooklyn, NY 11231 where we will receive a substantial discount on room rates. In order to receive the $160 room rate please call them at (718) 222-3200 and mention group code “AHEPA Group.” Please also be aware that breakfast is included. The convention package will follow to the AHEPA District 6 Family Leadership soon. Please make your reservations early as the room block will be released on May 10. Please let me know if you have any questions. PLEASE NOTE that all convention activities will take place at the Church, not the hotel. THE CONVENTION PACKAGE WILL BE POSTED AND EMAILED SOON. We invite all our wonderful sisters to attend our Annual Tea Party on Saturday, May 14 at noon at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul 110 Cathedral Ave, Hempstead. This year our theme is “Your Financial Health”. For a portion of the day, Doug Flynn and his partners at Flynn, Zito Management (who is frequently seen on television) and estate planning lawyer, Ted Rosenthal, Esq. will discuss the issues of planning for retirement, asset protection in retirement , the best way to save for college and charitable planned giving. To remain a Chapter in good standing with the ability to have its members attend and vote at the District and National Conventions, a Chapter must comply with certain obligations:
1) The Chapter must remit the National Obligation Form and payment NO LATER THAN March 31, 2016. A copy of that form is annexed hereto for your convenience. National Obligation Form. 2) The Chapter must also remit the District Reconciliation form with payment NO LATER THAN APRIL 15, 2016. Specific mailing information is contained in the form. See the top of this page for District Convention forms.
